Hp 6720s or wait untill black friday for laptop sales?

I just need a laptop for college and do to do some internet surfing and maybe a few games, but not many. Would this laptop be worth $500 or could i get something better for that on black friday sales? thanks The laptop is an open box item but has not been used. I cant spend any more than $500 because that is literatly all i have. Thanks for the help

1. I personally wouldn't waste my money on anything HP. I have had several friends who have had HPs and the computers broke, within a few months of taking it out of the box, and HP did NOTHING to help them. HP is horrible and I have had horrible service with them too and printers. I have a Dell and like it!
2. worth it but the under 500 price tag is after rebates so if you truly only have 500, you can't afford it
