I have a Dell 1320c laser printer and cannot print WordPerfect files. Help!!?
I have a Dell 1320c laser printer here at work, and I love it except for it will NOT print WordPerfect files. I work at a bit of an old-fashoined place, and while I do use Word when I can, mostly everyone else here uses various versions of Corel WordPerfect. (I myself run WP version 12.) If I need to print something that is in WP format, I generally just convert it to a PDF, which prints just fine except if there is any leftover formating, like an underline was left in but text was deleted--it shows a line in the PDF version. We don't have an IT staff, and the few computer techs that have been here can't seem to find the problem. I have looked on Dell.com and Corel.com and I can't seem to find any fixes. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help!!! I just re-asked my question with the details...sorry I am just learning the best ways to ask questions on here! Thanks to everyone who is out there answering them...

- Would ave been helpful to include some info on what happens if you DO TRY to print a file from Wordperfect . Then we have a chance to help you find a cure
- 1. if i'm not mistaken and you can check this there is only one printer defined added by Adobe Acrobat and probably even named as Adobe PDF with printer icon on left of it. 2. i don't have word perfect, however, when you click file then print does a dialog box show? can you select a printer aside from the Adobe PDF? have you tried selecting the other printer? if you did and it did not work, try adding a new printer. click start, click printers and faxes, under printer task click on Add a printer, Add printer wizard window should pop up. i'll assume it's a local printer so go ahead and click radio button Local printer attached to this computer, leave Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer. select browse for printer (knowing brand and model of printer will help). right click newly created printer and click set as default printer. also, you may need to download the printer driver later in case printer does not print correctly) when you're done adding printer, do item 2 again. btw, if you have ms word, you probably can open the word perfect document with it although some options in word perfect may not be available in word. should you decide to try this after successful add of printer, follow direction on above item 2. hope that helps. good luck. should you encounter a problem, come back here add details to your question. your findings as well as error messages received will assist us in providing you with a more accurate response.
