4. Hi, NO its not. It is a inkjet printer and ink cartridges are most likely a ripoff. Mainly because when you buy a cartridge, you're buying the ink and a new printhead which is an electronic gadget with nozzels that puts the ink on paper. The cartridge and printhead are built in to one unit. Thats Lexmark. Canon cartridges are less expensive.
