Can anyone recommend a good laser printer?
I'm looking for a decent Color Laser Printer, only willing to spend around $300-$400. The price of the replacement cartridges is also a big factor. I've seen some nice HP's out there for a decent price, but need to make sure I can buy the non OEM cartridges at one of the websites that offer cheap toner.

- HP.
- We have many HP laser printers where I work. They last FOREVER. Some are 10-15 years old and still work. I would recommend HP. Definitely. P.S. About "cheap" toner. I have found that buying HP brand seems to yield more copies per toner cartridge. You might want to try it - - gather your own data and figure it out. It depends on how good (and how FULL ! ! ) the "cheap" toner cartridges are. I would be very interested in what you find out. .
- good luck! new printers do not have non OEM for a while so you will have to but OEM in the beginning. hp,brother, epson, cannon, and most other name brands are decent machines. I have HP's and brothers. hp are cheaper to use and are reliable.brothers are more expenvice in the long run as the not only have toner to buy but drums that do not last very long.
- Hewlett Packard
- I bought a Ricoh CL1000 for under $300 about a year ago. The cartridges are good for about 10,000 pages. Of course the first ones you get are only half full so the black already registered low. Fortunately, it was easy to refill and I bought the toner for $50 on ebay so it's still going strong. It prints at about 30 pages per minute per color, so if you print 2 colors it's 15 ppm and 3 colors becomes 10 ppm. Text is sharp and even photos are pretty good, though not in the same class as photo quality inkjets.
- We have many HP and Lexmark laser printers where I work. They last a very long time. Some are 10-15 years old and still work. I would recommend HP or Lexmark.
