How do I connect a laser printer using USB1 to labtop with USB2???

I have a brother laser printer HL-1440 and I used to operate the printer through a desktop computer using USB cable. However, I do not have the desktop with me and the labtop only works with USB 2 connector. How can I connect one end of USB to the other end of USB 2? Please help! I hate to throw the old printer away.

1. The exact same way as USB1, USB 2 is just a faster updated version of the technology. It should use the same type of end connector.
2. they are just the same... connect usb2 the way you connect your usb1... if they have different plug, buy a converter or a adapter so the plug will fit the usb slot...
