7300 Phaser Xerox Printer frustration?

I work for a company where we do lots of printing. For some reason, when I put the paper in there (12X18 in), the left side comes out a different color and sometimes it looks a little grainy. For example, I printed a sheet today and the colors were supposed to be pink. The right side came out pink and the left side came out peach. It looks like there is too much yellow in it. This happens with almost every print we do. Does anyone know what this could be? We tried changing the transfer unit and it still comes out bad. I really need help. The xerox tech guy came and said there was nothing wrong with the printer but he tried selling us another one and said this one is not meant for graphics. What is it meant for then? When we try printing text, it has a ghost image as if the CMYK didn't align correctly. Help!!!!

  1. You have some serious drum issues or image transfer belt. Call up the tech guy again, tell him to come in and tell him that you images are not aligning properly and you believe you have a transfer problem. Xerox are dicks, don't let the upsell you. Chances are you are on a lease and it is their responsibility to ensure the unit is funcitoning properly. INcosistnacy in the image is not acceptable for any printer whether it is desgned for graphics or not.
