has anyone seen a genuine scientific comparison of ink yield on xerox vs. HP vs. canon etc LASER COLOR PRINTER

  1. I doubt anyone has. The problem with page yield is that even though there is a ISO standard, people fudge the numbers a little bit. Xerox uses 4% coverage while Canon and HP use 5%. Plus when a study is conducted, it is usually paid for by the company who looks good in the study.
  2. Some 10 years back I did this test myself for our organisational requirement. Giving below the result in brief - Toner quantity - 100 gms. Paper size - ISO A4 Solid area - 5% Yield - Xerox Low End printers - 2400 to 2800 prints Xerox High End printers - 2500 to 3100 prints HP Low end printers - 2000 to 2300 prints Canon Low end printers - 2200 to 2500 prrints Low end means print speed less than 20 pages per minute
