Color printer recommendation needed- HP Laserjet 4700, Minolta Magicolor 5570 or Xerox 6360.?

True print quality is vital, as is the "workhorse" aspect of the printer. Does anyone have a preference for one of the three mentioned?

  1. After working on printers for 28 years I'm convinced that Hewlett-Packard makes the best printer for quality and durability. (And they provide good support).
  2. Minolta 5570 hands down. It is fast and has BEAUTIFUL output!!! Also there tech support is off the wall good and you talk to english speaking people who are based in the U.S and not someone in India. Also you can print all day long with the 5570 and it will not give you any problems.
  3. Xerox offers 3 year replacement vs. 1 year for the other 2 printers. The print quality is also equal to or better than the 4700. The 6360 is a VERY low maintenance machine. The 4700 is slower and costs more to run than the 6360. It also costs more to purchase. The 5570 is the least expensive of the 3 to run but also has the lowest output quality and is slower than the 6360. Phaser 6360 vs. HP color LaserJet 4700 • Much lower purchase price • 11 ppm faster • Faster first-page-out time (tested) • Faster processor • More standard memory • Lower total cost of ownership (TCO) The magicolor 5570 may not be able to offer the same output quality as HP's Laserjets or the Xerox Phaser's, but it certainly matches them in terms of value (8.7cents per print, 9.25 for the hp, 9 for the xerox). The printer is well built, and its low printing costs should put it on any enterprise's printing short list if quality is not a top concern. The Bottom Line: The Xerox Phaser 6360 is a super fast desktop color laser printer with professional looking output. All configurations are network ready. These printers work very well in the Mac OS, UNIX, or the Windows environments. The Xerox 6360 earns editor's choice for best overall performance.
