How do I print headshots from this?

My photographer gave me one free 8x10 print and a disc with 4x6s of all my pics. However, when I take it anywhere, be it Kinko's, to a Kodak Photomaker or a reproductions place, they can blow it up, but the resolution is lost and all those little squares show up. He charges $35 dollars per print!!! and I don't think he can put me name and contact info on it. I don't have a scanner, a color printer, or a CD burner. Did I get screwed?

  1. If the 8x10 doesn't have his copyright notice on it, you should be able to have a photo lab make copies. They'll scan it or photograph it and then make all the copies you want. They should give you a quantity discount, but the first one will be $$ for the initial film/scan. You might have to use a label printing program to print a large label with your contact info for the back. Of course, the photog isn't going to be too happy if you manage to get copies made without him -- but he should also offer you a quantity discount, like 10 for $200, since printing 10 at a time is cheaper than 1 at a time.
