How many are unhappy with their Canon printers?

My pixma mp600 stopped printing so I checked the ink cartridges and saw my color ink cartridges were empty. I never print in color!! So I called the company (which wanted to charge me for a question. (I got sales office for free!) and they said that the printer uses color to print black??? So I had to buy three color and one black cartridge at a cost of 65 dollars (yes $65 dollars. Took them home and found out I needed another real small black cartridge. I put new cartridges in and it would not print. I put the old empty black in, and even though there was another black cart in, it still would not print. Not wanting to pay a lot for another cart. I called several refill locations and was told they can not refill pixma mp600 carts!!!. NOW I am so mad I checked internet and found a lot of complaints. I really think we should get a class action suit against Canon for riping us off making us use color cartridges when printing in black. PS: these cartridges are unbelievably small.

  1. i have a cannon and i cannot believe the cost of the ink in the first place you need two black cartridges in the first place that's unreal of itself and they are so expensive and my printer cost me almost 500.00 dollars as it is fax machine also and copier.but the ink is so expensive and to print pictures it hardly ever even works i am so upset i bought the brand.i am with you for all you folks out there who want to buy a printer do not go with a cannon.
  2. I know how you feel but it could be worst as Lexmark charge more. than the Canon. One problem we all have is that the colours are made up with all cartridges, so all carts need to be install. One of the mags did a break down on it and they came up with something like £133 a ltr for printer ink. I have an Epson and they are cheap against the Lexmark and the Canon at only £2.99 each.
