Laser Printer information??

i've been given a second hand laser printer (HP 4050n), and it works brilliantly, but i do have some questions. Why does it have a serial port at the back that it asthough you can add a screen to it.... plus, i've been given a toner for it. How efficient is this? I basically need a bit more info on them, anything is welcome. Thanks

  1. As you know it is a network printer and as such has a R45 socket on the side of it, The other socket is for a different connection so that you can add a bottom tray, a lead from the tray plug into that socket. The use of Tona depends on the coverage on the page but if you want to use a laser printer you use Tona. The HP site will have all on the info including a use manual to download
  2. The HP 4050 is a tank of a printer. I have serviced some of those printers in the past with over 1,000,000 printes on them. The port you are refering too is for a 2nd tray. The toner's for the 4050 are cheap to purchase and last for thousands of pages.
