Do unused ink cartridges dry up over the years?
I have some Ink cartridges that are about 8 years old and I was wondering if there are still good for use. They've never been open and their inside their original boxes and packs. Thank you! They use to belong to my dad's school but they've been sitting around my house for so long. I am selling them on ebay. We have no use for them.

- yes they will. that is why they have an experation date on them.
- Hey , if you can sell them , sell them !
- Yes, they eventually do. Of course they dry out faster if they have been taken out of the original packaging (just like a pen would dry out faster if it was left uncapped,) but after 8 years, I have to imagine that the ink would be mostly dried up. Obviously if you plan on selling them on eBay, you have to be honest and say how old they are. I'd include the expiration date on the package and offer a refund if they don't work properly, (just to fair, since they are expired.) Look at the price of the brand new cartridges being sold on the site, and make sure to place your price a good deal below that, considering that the inks are old-- even if they aren't opened. The lower price will encourage buyers to bid on them, even if they aren't brand new. A seller's reputation is important on eBay, so remember to be clear about the product, and you should have no problem selling them! Good luck!
