Why does my HP 1022 print a dark line down each side of the page?

There is a line of toner around the drum at each end. I'm afraid to try cleaning it for fear of damaging it. I've had the toner cartridge refilled twice. I need clean copy for my business. I would not recommend this printer to anyone thinking of buying one.

1. You can't simply refill a toner, the fact that yo have done it twice is impressive. The green electrostatic roller on your toner cartridge is shot. You do need to replace the toner.
2. hi . i gives you 3 solution's and you test it. 1. clean your paper path 2. check your laser scanner and clean that ( that is on front of your printer . that is a little hard to open ) . 3 . replace your drum roller on cartridge or your cartridge step's to remove laser scanner Laser/scanner assembly 1 Remove the following assemblies. ● Right-side cover. . ● Left-side cover. . ● Top-cover assembly. See Rear panel and top-cover . ● Front-cover. ● Engine control unit assembly.
