What NIC card do I use for HP Designjet 500 plotter? Need to know which NIC card to use in the HP designjet Plotter. I have found a few online, but not sure which one actually fits it. I have limited access to the plotter itself, so am unable to locate any markings on it that would indicate which NIC card it uses.
How can I make printing from a HP Designjet Plotter proceed more quickly? I am having problems printing from an HP Designjet plotter. I am able to print using this, but it seems to take forever to print a page (such as a blueprint) from this plotter. I thought it had to do with the parallel port, since it is typically slower, but I'm not entirely sure if that will work. Is there anything I can try that will speed up printing from this plotter?
i am printing on a tarpaulin using HP designjet 5500PS but the ink bleeds, how to remove bleeding? i am printing on a tarpaulin using HP designjet 5500PS but it bleeds resulting to a mess of canvass. i changed the dye ink (#81) to UV ink (#83) and tried again, but it keeps on bleeding..how will i solve the problem? in the menu setting, what appropriate printing media will i choose? manuals are missing so i tried printing by trial and error and the roll of tarpaulin and inks are being wasted. please help. thanks..
How to print horizontally on a HP Designjet 500 42 using Adobe Illustrator? At work we have purchased a HP Designjet 500 42 poster printer. In Adobe Illustrator CS2, I am trying to print out a large logo. The problem is; Illustrator is constantly forcing the printer to print the image out in the wrong orientation. The logo is 20" wide, and 6" tall. Our printer uses a 42" roll. Illustrator keeping printing the image out such that the image is only using 6" of the total 42" width, and printing out 20" in length. Thus, wasting a lot of paper. Is there any proper setup I am overlooking? I have tried every combination that comes to mind. Portrait vs landscape, rotate 90 degrees, entering custom paper sizes... Nothing comes out in a horizontal manor. I will also mention that this has not been a constant issue in Adobe PS CS2. However my technique for that program, does not work for Illustrator. is the HP Designjet 500 good for printing renders? how is it compared to the HP 4000 plotter? Is this plotter good for printing pictures? renders? architectural drawings and photorealistic renders? I have a hp designjet 820 mfp scanner and it will not allow me to change name so it overwrites each sheet.? I am trying to scan 14 sheets and each scan overwrites the previous scan. I changed to jpeg, tiff, pdf and I can get all three, but then when I scan the fourth, it over writes the file with the same ending. Any ideas?

Hp Designjet 130nr - printing on a roll - can you help? I'm trying to print a 3m long artwork from Illustrator or photoshop, I can select "A1 on a roll" as the paper size but this means the printer keeps cutting off half way though the print when it gets to A1 length. Neither program will let me select custom size! Please help, i am in a new job and no-one here can help me :(
HP Designjet 30n reset the IP address? Hello, we have an old HP Designjet 30n, with no CD rom or programs for it. We are in the process of trying to get into it and reset is IP address. There is a very small LCD screen on the front. We have tried holding in the power button in the front for 30 seconds on start up, but no dice. (Standard IP address reset on start up for HP) Network card is good, and connection light is green. Anyone have one of these old dinosaurs? Printer is dis-continuted, HP does not suppport anymore.
hp designjet display paper jam on the front panel though there is no actual paper jam? the firmware was then upgraded but yet it continues to display paper jam and therefore could not be used for printing jobs when left for some 3-12hrs or at times 24hrs. the paper jam disappears and the re-appears when i try to print or load paper. its a designjet t1100ps3. the firmware was then upgraded but yet it continues to display paper jam and therefore could not be used for printing jobs

Why doesn't my HP Designjet 110 print black? I have changed cartridge and print heads.? Pure black comes out as blueish purple. All other colours are working fine. Have recently replaced the print heads on all four colours.
Question about printing in HP Designjet 800 42" plot? I have a HP Designjet 800 42" plot, and I am using Autocad 2006 to do the drawing. However, everytime when I print something, I have a problem to save the paper. For ex: my drawing is 23inch x 34inch and I have a 36 width roll Paper for print. however no matter I set Portrait or Landscape. it always put 23inch to my width. which means I have to use at least 34 inches long paper to print the drawing. But acturally if I can put my 34 inches in my width (36" wide paper), then I only need to use 23inches long paper to finish the job. How I can adjust it.(to rotate printing for saving paper....) I don't want to rotate my drawing in Autocad, cause sometimes the drawing would change. (for ex dimension......)
I have a plotting problem with my Autocad on an HP designjet printer.? I bought a brand new HP core i7 desktop with win 7 on it and it was installed with autocad 2007. Then i connected a hp designjet plotter 130 series. I tried to print on it but i get a blue screen showin some insufficient memory. i wonder that its having 1.5ghz NVIDIA and 8 GB of ram with 2 tb of disk space. HP 650C Designjet plotter plots everything black? I have an HP650C Designjet plotter connected to a computer with windows XP. When plotting from Autocad 2006 LT it prints everything black when there are several colors. Does anyone know what might cause this?
How do I print pdf files using an HP DesignJet 650C C2859B? I have an HP DesignJet 650C C2859B that I use to plot CAD drawings. However, I can't print pdf full size drawings that clients have sent me through email because I can't figure out how to load this plotter onto Adobe's printer manager. If I don't physically have the software or drivers for this plotter, but I CAN load it into Adobe (which probably can be done), please give me directions on how to do this. And if I can't load it into Adobe because Adobe doesn't support it or this model plotter doesn't have the capability, let me know.
a problem with a mac/windows network and getting a HP designjet 500 to work on all os's? Our work network has 5 imacs (running mac os x 10.5.8) as well as having vmware fusion (win xp pro sp3) on all the macs, we use both regularly and regulary print to a HP Designjet 500 from both the mac and the win side and we're all connected through a 1 gig switch. The plotter is connected through usb to my mac and then shared for all the others to use.(if you need any more info let me know) My problem is that priting from the different os's can be tricky it seems. If its its normally shared on my mac os side, everybody can connect and print to the desighnjet from their mac side (as it should) but no one can print to it from the vmware side, but we can connect to the printer. The only way i've to let people print from the win side is to connect it to the virtual pc and share it in windows, but then the mac side refuses to print to it. I want to be able to just share it in just one location/os and then for everybody to able to print to it. I've tried just about everything and nothing seems to solve the problem and switching all the time clearly isn't practicle. I hope someone can help me here.
What is the coil resistance for the paper feed motor on an HP Designjet 110NR Plus? Part number Q1292-60218? We have been told that the motor could "possibly" be bad, but the technician working on it says they won't know for sure until they replace it. I used to work on printers quite a bit, and I know that if you know what the coil resistance is supposed to be (+/- tolerances) you can test it with a volt meter to see if the coils are bad or not. The technician cannot locate the coil resistance information and supposedly, HP does not supply this information in the service manual for the Designjet 110 series. Does anyone know if this information is available? If so, what are the coil resistances?

Repair manual for HP Designjet 500 - found one available free on line, but lost it and can't find it again. Used the instructions to change out a belt - was very helpful. HP Designjet 650 series Vista Driver? I need a driver for my plotter. Im running vista home edition. HP.com says they wont make a driver for Vista. I also tried to hook the printer up to another computer (XP) and share the printer throught the network. It works only with other XP's, but my vista still cant pick it up. Any thoughts?

Hp designjet 1100 and 1200, u hate them as much as i do? I think those two printers are the worst made since 1998 or something. I think they suck. Lots of troubles with them, paperjams, freezed, leaking ink etc etc <whoknows> thats not what i asked <conradj213> yeah lexmark printer are good, only thing worse thenn HP is Brother if u ask me
Anyone familiar with HP Designjet 450c? Trying to get this older plotter to work with Windows xp.....I'm getting constant "document failed to print" messages. Does anyone out there know what my settings through AutoCad should be? I've tried most settings I can think of, both within the Autocad plotter manager, and within the printer settings itself. Should I try running the program on a windows95/98/or NT setting (autocad will let you do that). Funny thing is that about a month ago, it was working fine, although it took 45 MINUTES to plot a drawing. A month later, I can't get it to work, and have downloaded the newest HP-GL2 driver I could find.....HELP!!!!!
I have a HP designjet 3500 cp printer and have some problems? I have a problem printing onto canvas which has a satin finish (coating) my problem is the printing ink runs off when the design has been printed,and it is a blurry mess. the printer works fine on paper and i am familiar with the printer as ive been in the business for about three years, but used a roland eco-sol sp540v so slightly different set up.Is the problem related to the software or media or will this printer print on this type of canvas? ive been told by someone it will print onto treated canvas but I cant seem to program it etc.Any help welcome!!!
hp designjet 500 plotter maximum print length? i'm using an hp designjet 500 plotter, the problem is that the maximum length of printing for a single document is 1.3m; how can i adjust it so that the document is entirely printed, in its total length, with just a single cut when it's done? even if i select a custom paper size, if i exceed 1.3m it will prompt me that "the size is either too big or too small". maybe it has something to do with disabling the automatic cutter?
HP designjet 500 plotter utility? i have plotter designjet500 42 inch on LPT port. whenever there is indication of cartage empty it shows exclamation mark. though it lasts for more than 3 months after that!!. Now i just cant find out how much % the cartage is left with. So what happens is that it suddenly gets empty and all work comes to stand still. I need to have a utility software where i can monitor the cartage and order it on right time. after inquiring with HP i came to know that they have this software only if you are connected through LAN and not LPT. can any phe help me with this?

What is Error Code 53.30 for HP Designjet 4500mfp.? What does this error code refer to? The error comes up on the pc that is attached to the scanner's screen not the actual printer or scanner. You will not find anything by googling it and hp does not give tech support unless you pay them 40 dollars. Unless you have the service manual you will not be able to answer. Again the only way to find this error code is by looking in the mfp service manual. not just the printer or scanner manual. HP does not support this product unless it is under warranty they dont have any info on their website or anywhere else. Cant be googled or yahooed or any of that. Bottom line. Well i spent 7 hours working on it and i ended up answering my own question. It was a mismatched printhead cleaner. when a printhead and ph cleaner are replaced you have to take the 2 cyans and swap their bays then do the same with the cleaners and do the same for each color. this model has more quarks than all the other i would not recomend it.

Why does my PowerPoint poster look different on print than on screen? Why is my text moving around? I work in an area where I will be printing many posters for students. Most use PowerPoint. I have come across my first poster where that every time I print it, it shifts the text around and refuses to print exactly as shown on screen. My page settings are correct, my margins are extra. I just don't know how to "lock things in place." I don't have the ability to convert to PDF or anything. I am using PowerPoint 2003, and an HP Designjet 500 poster printer. I have printed many posters already w/o this problem. Please help.
What is the purpose of a plotter head? I have a HP Designjet 500 and we had to change the plotter head this morning. It looks like a smaller ink cartridge... Can anyone tell me what exactly it does? Is it a filter for the ink before it hits the paper? Thanks!

How to print on fabric? I would like to print on rolls of fabric using a large-format printer (HP Designjet 500PS). I believe the inks are water-based, dye-based ink. What can I do to make it so the ink is colorfast and won't bleed when the fabric gets wet?
How can I print a banner 96" long x 36" wide? I prefer to print from Powerpoint but can copy and paste the data into a few other programs that I have access to (CAD, Word, etc). The printer (plotter actually) i'm using is an HP DesignJet 450C. It seems like the largest I can make the powerpoint slide is 56x36. XP Vista HP WiFi Printing problems, please help!? I have 2x XP SP2 and 1x HP Vista Notebooks on a WiFi Network through a Dlink Router/Access point. 1xHP laserjet 1400 and 1xHP Designjet 130 attached locally and shared to the Vista Notebook. All test prints from Vista is working fine and I can acces the all hard drives on the network. Here’s the problem. When I print from the XP machines to he Designjet 130 everything’s working fine, but the Laserjet 1400 just spools on the Vista machine and never prints. However, when you switch the vista machine off, it prints whatever you’ve sent from the XP machine. I need to use the Vista machine as a print server. How do I solve this. I have reinstalled the driver, downloaded the 64x driver, switched off all firewalls, made sure the printer is shared everywhere. What else can I do? Sorry, it's a HP laserjet 1600. Doc, I've disabled spooling to print directly to printer, but it just ignores the setting and proceeds to spooling. Should I be looking for a 32x vista and xp compatible driver/patch?

Help!!!!! Posessed designjet 130? I have a designjet 130 connected to a Mac running OSX. I have had nothing but problems with print quality, also sometimes the printer just decides not to print but restarting my computer seems to solve this problem. I have been on line with hp tech support and they are tellling me I need to intsall RIP software (at $700 I cannot afford this right now). Has anyone had similar problems with a Mac? PS If I print the same documents from my hp Laserjet 3600 I have no problem.
Unable to connect.? Hey, I'm trying to network a new pc and I'm having issues connecting to a printer (HP DesignJet 1050c). All the old computers that are connected to the printer are running windows NT and the new one is XP. I ran CMD and tried to ping it but it couldnt find it. I did the same thing in the computers with NT and they found it just fine.. Could it be because of the IP being not similar to the XP computer? I have 192.1.1.22 as the new PC and the printer is 169.254.186.220. I dont know a ton about this networking thing but I was under the impression that the IP had to be the same except the last digits... Can someone tell me whats different in the NT computers from the XP one im trying to connect to it. And so you know, the XP machine connects fine to the other computers...
