I Wehn i get connect to the usb port and found new hardware ask for the lemark disk for the driver to which i dont have. I'm not too familiar with printers, but after some research, I tried opening the front door during a job and after removing the cartridge, it looks like the ink is faded before the fuser. Lexmark E232 Laser Printer - leaving black marks along the side of the page when printing.? I have pulled out the cartridge and wiped off the green roller several times. This does not seem to do anything, even on the first page printed after it is clean. The cartridge is not a re-filled one, it is supposed to be top of the line. Could it be the drum (or whatever they call the roller on these printers) or is it a bad ink cartridge ?? Does anyone know how I can tell for sure without having to call a service guy ?? Lexmark laser printer jam!? Well obviously, my printer has a paper stuck in it, but stupid me, i ripped it all out forcibly and now theres only a little teeny tiny shred left, and i cant really reach it. ive tried opening the back side, but that didnt really work. Ive also tried sending in another paper to see if it could push it out, but that just got stuck and i pulled that out, and the paper is stuck around one of the rods that uses it to push through. How to configure Lexmark E120 laser printer for Vista? I just bought the E120 today. Salesman didn't tell me the USB cord needed to be bought separately, so I've used the cord from my LaCie HDD to connect it to my PC. Installation CD wouldn't work, so I downloaded the drivers from the Lexmark website. It seems to have installed properly, but when I try to print anything, it doesn't seem to send to the printer. When I open the Printers status, it says "Error - Printing" or "Error - Sent to printer". I can print a test page using the button on the printer, but can't print one using a computer command. Could it be because of the USB connection? Or can you suggest anything I can do to fix it? The Lexmark support is closed until tomorrow morning and my father needs some things printed urgently. laser printer prints half page only? hi my friend has a lexmark laser printer, he recently just changed the cartridge and somehow the printer has been printing only half a page (vertically). He called technical support and they said it might be broken and need to replace some parts. Anyone have any knowledge about this? Can I refill the "starter cartridges" on a Lexmark C522 color laser printer? I'm thinking about buying this printer, but the seller states the starter cartridges are almost empty. I saw refill kits on Ebay fairly reasonable, but the regular cartridges were too much dough. I'm hoping I can refill the starter cartridges. lexmark t644 wont get detected by router, and the port lights on the printer and router dont light up.? I have a Lexmark t644 monochrome laser printer with a integrated network card. Everything was working ok for about a year. Till now when a few days ago there was a power outage (im not sure if thats what caused this though cause i was on vacation when this power outage occurred) when i got home, the computer no longer would print to the printer over the network. I go to my router and i find that the port the printer is hooked up to is not lit up. So therefore the router doesn't detect the printer. Also the port on the printer the lan cable plugs into doesnt light up either. I tried changing the cable to one that i know works....no luck. I went through all the settings...no luck. I also unplugged the printer to see if it would reset...nope. i pretty much exhausted all ideas i thought and read of. Can someone please help me, thanks

Laser printer pages print solid black on bottom third of page. I have a Lexmark T430. Worked ok for a long time, but then toner ran out. I bought an OEM Lexmark toner, replaced it and tried to print out the printer settings from the printers internal settings. The top 1/3 of the page prints text, but the background is streaky (sp?). Which USB printers work with Apple Airport Extreme Base Station? I have a Apple Airport Extreme base station but I've had anything but luck with compatible printers and drivers. I was hoping if someone would know a fairly inexpensive printer such as HP or Lexmark laser preferably but ink will do in a price range of <$150 (maybe $200?) that will broadcast over Bonjour, have compatible drivers, and natively work with minimal effort. Color Laser Printer Question...s (NEED INSIGHT....expertise)? My wife has a home-based business which requires her to print up business cards, handouts for meetings, and our Lexmark x3470 inkjet just isn't doing it. The quality is nice, but the ink runs low FAST. I just bought a Brother HL-4040cn color laser printer with a mail in rebate of $120. The bottom line price with rebate? $279.00 Looking around that seems a VERY good price. But I have some questions about the operations before I decide to set it up or take it back. Is there a cheap way to refill the color toner? Or a specific place I should look for high capacity toner cartridges? (Or are the standard cartidges cheaper and better to go with). I'm looking at about $200.00 to change all the cartridges. I can get sheets printed for $0.20 at Office Depot, (Which is several THOUSAND copies for the price of the printer and the toner) as well as order business cards, but the freedom to print them at home in such quality seems too good for this price, but I'm worried about operational costs.

HP or Lexmark? I have a HP print-scan-copy machine. As I know HP is cheaper than Epson whole cartridge of Epson is costlier than HP. Same like upper distinguishable point I like to get specific difference between HP and Lexmark for its any Print-Scan-Fax-Copy version. Just let me know the advantages and disadvantages of HP and Lexmark for their Print-Scan-Fax-Copy machines (Deskjet/ inkjets only not any laser printer) My Choice is hardly between HP and Lexmark.. help me to choose please.

What to buy: HP LaserJet P2055dn or something similar? I'd like a good, reliable laser printer to replace my 10-year old LaserJet 2100m. I'm thinking the LaserJet P2055dn because I would love duplexing and want it to use it with my small home network. Any experience with that printer or recommendations of others would be most welcome. Seems like others in the same price range include models by Samsung, Brother, and Lexmark, but I don't have any experience with any of them.

How to add a laser printer with an ethernet connection to the computer network? We have a Lexmark Color Laserjet C750 that has an ethernet port, but can not get it to show on our network to put it to use. We pluged the ethernet cord into the printer and then into the network switch, and tried to add it to the network as a printer and everytime we do it can not find it. We then try to add it by typing in the IP Address the printer's Network printout has on it and it still is not finding it. We did a test when the ethernet cord is not pluged into the printer and we print the network printout page it says under the network card that it is not connected, but when we plug the ethernet back into the printer and do the same printout it says its connected. The printer will print the menus, and we can get it to print when we plug a USB cord into a computer and then into the printer, but we need it to be using an ethernet connection so we can network it. Please supply us with the infomation on how to get this able to use the ethernet, and print with the network.

How do i make business cards from a jpeg when i bought the wrong sheets ? I have an ink jet printer but by accident i bought laser paper sheets for making business cards. It seems that the ink looks fine but everytime i try to print the cards off my jpeg of the template that i used from photoshop the images are off the center of the cards. I have a Lexmark 5600-6600 printer. Do i have to change the paper source and if so how? If anyone can help id really appreciate it. Thanx

What is the best color laser printer for me? I am looking for color quality as good as a Lexmark 1300 Series inkjet. Maybe a paper tray. Not too large. Very few consumables to replace (eg. NO separate items, like drum/imaging unit or waste container). Toner should not be expensive, but drum/imaging should be included/attached to toner if needed. That way I only have to buy 1 or 2 items instead of several different items. Try to do a little research first. Don't just put down some random answer. If you have this printer, has it ever jammed? Are there any other issues with it? Let me know about any important quality of the printer so that I can make an educated decision. NOTE: I want a printer that only requires periodic toner replacement. OPTIONAL: I would like duplexing and envelope support if possible, but I don't want a very expensive printer. yes JD I know they are, but I am asking for a color LASER printer that has at least the same or better quality as the inkjet I have at the present time. I will mostly be using the color only for printing CD jewel case inserts.

A Cheap and reliable printer with low running costs? Which printer should i buy? I am an occasional printer, so dont really need a laser jet printer. I want a reliable printer, which is cheap and has low running costs. My last printer was a Lexmark Z515 i bought it for $30 but had to buy $50 worth of cartridges because i couldnt even re-fill them because Lexmark used some kind of precaution to prevent this. So i really want a Printer which i can be able to re-fill the cartridges many times and would be cheap. Thanks in advance

I'm looking to buy a new printer. Any sugesstions? Injet, Laser....and which brand is the best? I just bought a new Dell XPS desktop and need a nice printer to add to it. Speed is not so important but quality is. And yes sometimes the things I print will be in color. Dell wants me to add on an all-in-one for $449 but scanning and faxing is really not a necessity. And will I run into problems using another brand like Cannon, Brother, Lexmark, Sharp.........ect.

Just bought a new iMac (10.5) and would like to setup a network Printer. Help? I finally bought the new iMac running Leopard 10.5 and I would like to setup a printer to act as the network printer so my wife can print to it from her 1mac which runs an earlier version (10.3 I believe). I run the computers over my wireless home network using Linksys and coverage seems to be fine. My question is.... do I need to buy a printer with network card so she can print to it, or can I connect a non-network printer via USB from my new iMac and share it so she can print to it? I bought the new Lexmark X4550 network printer but it does not support Leopard and it chugs ink, so I would like to set this new environment up with a laser printer. Any assistance is appreciated!

Overhead slide sheets? What are these called, will they print in my printer? I admit I haven’t seen these in years and I'm not sure I’m even using the right term. The only slide shows I’ve seen or made in the past 7 years were Power Point ones. But several years ago I remember these clear plastic sheets that could be printed on with my simple, cheap, disposable printer (a Lexmark that came free with my PC). I have a little 3 in 1 Inkjet (Epson Stylus CX4800) and I want to be able to print on thin sheets of plastic. QUESTIONS Do they still sell those sheets? What are they called? Who sells them? Is this typical Lexmark "quality"? Hello, A little under a year ago (December 2006) I purchased a new Lexmark E232 monochrome laser printer. This week the thing just stopped working. I contacted Lexmark technical support and they diagnosed that the controller board within the printer needs to be replaced -- at my expense. The printer diagnostics sheet indicates that this printer has only printed a total of 439 pages -- less than a ream of paper! Is this typical of Lexmark products? Right now I'm really wishing I had purchased an HP.

What is a good economic laser printer? I need a good economic printer for a small business. I use mainly black and white and don't want to be replacing fusers, drums, developers, etc. The problem I have seen with some printers is the print comes out TOO light! I print from Word documents and had a new HP on a try out and the print was too light for business promotional purposes. The last laser printer I had was a lexmark 4039 (a long time ago) and the quality was always good (and dark). I bought refurbished toners and I spent only $100 a month for tons of prints. However, the older lasers heated up and weren't really meant for high usage like I will be doing (a couple thousand prints a month). As I understand it the newer ones are? Anyone had success with a particular printer for the purposes I have described? Thanks for your response!

Making a photo memory blanket? I am trying to figure out how to make a photo memory blanket. I don't have any idea how to start this project. I have done Iron on Photo t-shirts but once the image is ironed on and if it gets wet or I wash it, the ink just runs and ruins it. I want to make one of those blankets that you can wash and the photos don't do that crackle effect. I have heard of feeding the fabric through the printer, but unsure of the fabric to use because I would think it would get stuck! Plus, when the fabric goes through the printer, I would be afraid the ink coming out would soak and run while it feeds through the printer. The printer: Lexmark P6350---not sure if its a laser, ink jet or bubble printer. Not sure what print setting to put it on. The paper I have used-- Avery Ink Jet T-shirt Transfers-- these run if the photo gets wet and crackle! my sewing machine: Singer 18024000. No slipping the photos in any pockets either. Photos must be on the blanket, withstand washing and last!

Spent five hours renewing Norton 360, (they kept checking their $150. package & putting it on my order for ONE thing, & I could have roasted a turkey while waiting for it to install), I've now downloaded one of my printers to be compatible with my new Windows Vista. YET. I CANNOT set up the old toolbar (w/my default printer) so I can see my level of ink, or choose pages I want to print, or copies or anything. I don't even have an icon after downloading HP Laser Jet on my driver! Yahoo gives me toolbar options I don't want & won't let me "customize" for the printer. (Lexmark printer is next!) I CAN'T STAND IT. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? My toolbar (as I knew it) vanished after Windows Vista. I WANT IT BACK! scanner problem? i have a lexmark 1270 printer and scanner the printer works but the scanner doesnt every time i try to scan something the laser thing gets jam in the corner and it starts making a noise like tatatatata, what do you think the problem is. i have windows vista is that probably the problem

Mac OS X printing speed vs. Windows - first page out slower? I love OS X and would never go back to Windows, but has anyone else noticed that the first page out of the printer seems to take longer than printing from Windows? Is it just me? I'm using a Lexmark 500 series color laser (I know color is slower vs B&W, but seems like even on plain B&W lasers my first page takes much longer to roll out). Thanks!

Suggest a Printer? I'm planning on starting my own drafting business (small business just me) from home and I need to get a printer. My maximum budget is $500 and it has to have 8.5" x 11" and 11" x 17" capabilities. I would prefer a laser jet over one with ink and one that can take a lot of use and the toner cartridges aren't really expensive. It would have to have a lot of memory to handle a large drawing file. The quality has to be good because the drawings would be going to my customers for them to use. I have a Lexmark All-In-One (Printer, Copier, Scanner) with color capabilities but I've had so much trouble with the thing and ink goes very quickly. Your suggestions would be very appreciated.
