How do I make my OKI laser printer print on low toner? I've got an OKI 8600 colour laser printer. The electronical display insists that there is no more toner. However, I can print about 2 A4 pages (full colour) just after starting the printer. Then it would stop and claim that all toner cartridges are empty. If I restart it, it prints two pages, than stops. And so I have printed 20 pages with *no* toner, which makes me suspicious. Anyone know how can I make it print until it really runs out of toner (something in settings maybe?)
Is an HP Laser Toner Cartridge compatible with an OKI? I have an OKI C5150n Laser Printer and I was wondering if any HP toner cartridge would be compatible? I didn't think it would work but it was worth a try. Thanks!
oki colour laser printer? who has reference about best oki laser printer for office use?
What is the best paper to print postcards on, when you have a laser printer?? I have an OKI laser toner printer, and I want to print postcards for my business, I would like as much shine, and clarity as possible. Also, I need the paper to be somewhat thick? Thanks
How can I get an Oki c3200n printer to work on my Mac OS X.6? Hi, my boss just gave me this Oki c3200n laser printer to work with at home but I can't get it to work with my MacBook running OS 10.6.6 (Snow Leopard). I downloaded the driver from the Oki website, installed it (I have Rosetta installed, I checked, and I run 32-bit) but when I go to "add printer" in either the application's print menu or my system preferences, it shows up as a USB connection but says there aren't any drivers on my machine! I'm pretty good with computers and I'm married to an IT guy (but he's busy, of course) so any instructions are helpful, even especially technical ones — I can take it! Can someone please help me get this printer working? Thank you for any assistance. P.S. Does anyone else find that printers, copiers and fax machines exist only to torment and frustrate us all to the point of cursing and throwing things? It's been my experience. ;)
Comparing laser printers? Hello all. I need to buy a new printer. I want a small, reliable printer with excellent image quality, low cost per page and reasonable printing time for my home/home office use, where every now and then I could print out a paper of about 20-30 pages. I am thinking of buying Oki B2400. I have looked at CNet, Computer Reports, Newegg, etc, but can't find reviews for it. CR recommends Dell 1720 - but they have not tested Oki. Does anybody know how Oki B2400 compares to Dell 1720? Thank you very much, Ole O
Can you print CD Labels using a Mono laser printer? The printer is a OKI B4100. I'm concerned about the labels coming off the page when it turns on the drum. I don't really want to risk it unless I know it'll be ok. Ideas?
Mono laser printer that works on Intel-based iMac with OS X 10.4? I'm looking for a budget (ok, cheap) mono laser printer which will work with an Intel-based iMac running OS X 10.4. There are plenty which say OS-X compatible (e.g. Oki) but when you actually get one and try to use it there's no driver available for the above product combination. Does anyone out there actually have a budget laser printer connecting and working on an Intel Mac? I can Google for manufacturers that claim to do so, but I've already tried two printers and would rather get a recommendation from a real user before carting another one home and swearing a lot... Thanks Tony
Is there a laser printer that doesn't try to force you not to refill toner? I've had several color laser printers and haven't been happy with any of them. My Minolta magicolor was impossible to fix or get at anything and my OKI has had endless silly problems and the image drums and other consumables don't last nearly as long as they say they should. Add to that the thing taking itself off line and refusing to print because it decided I was low on some toner color. If I'm printing B&W I don't give a cr@p if I'm low on yellow. And they have these smart chips to make it hard to refill. I remember in the old days when the image started getting light we just dumped more toner in a vat. Is there a printer company that isn't just out to rip us off on toner? Thanks in advance.
Why do I get "This Document Failed To Print" message after having installed my HP2100 Laser Printer? I have just installed Windows XP SP/2 onto my PC & connected a HP LaserJet 2100 Printer. Now, I cant print from this Windows. I keep getting "This document failed to print" error message. I have changed, delete & re-installed printer drivers but that didn't work. Other printers work well i.e. Oki ML520 Dot Matrix printer & also, I can print from DOS prompt with all printers. Here I mean, proper DOS O/S. I have tried 5 different printer cables to no avail. Since the printer prints via LPT port, I'd to buy a PCI LPT card but that didn't help either. It just does the same thing. I have replaced the Cartridges but nothing happenes . Looks like some people have/had the same problem on the internet, but I cant get to where they got help from. Please help!!!
The toner brushes off of the paper after printing with my laser printer, why? I have an OKI DATA C7300. The toner just brushes off of the paper after printing. Why would this happen? Thank you, Mike
Network Printer Annoyance? I use an OKI C6100 color laser printer as a network printer for my house, as it isn't in the same room as the router itself, i purchased a wireless range extender to connect to the houses wifi and produce ethernet connections for the printer to connect to. It works fine as the network printer, however when left idle for approx an hour it stops automatically printing when you send a document to it, instead it just stays in power save mode and doesn't respond to the computers at all...so what i have to do every time is turn off the printer, then turn it back on, let it reboot and then it'll work again....is there something i might be doing wrong or perhaps a method for ridding me of the annoyance? I've tried turning off the power save mode on the printer and it still does the same thing.

choosing an economical colour laserjet? For very low printing volumes, I usually get my clients a Canon Inkjet with separate ink cartridges. Unfortunately, the newer printers don't seem to be very economical anymore and even for light printing, it goes through ink far too quickly. Also the build quality of the Canon Pixma has declined over the last three years to such an extent, that I am unimpressed with Canon at the moment. I am trying to find a colour laserjet printer that would replace the inkjet, so it needs to be 1: cheaper to run 2: not much larger than an inkjet as we are talking about putting it on a table, where you would normally put an inkjet. I am not worried about the upfront costs as long as I can get the running costs down. I have looked around, because I also want to consider manufacturers that I have not considered before like Oki, Xerox. I won't buy HP or Brother as brother are expensive to run and HP - the quality is not what it used to be adn their support is dreadful. I believe Xerox might be a good choice or Ricoh? What is also a consideration is support, which is why I will never Samsung printers again, because Samsung support is horrendous as is HP. Has anyone got any recommendations for laser printers that will effectively replace the ink jets - thus I don't want to buy a printer designed to print for an entire network - its going to have the same printing usage as an inkjet ie low volume! I am not looking for answers saying get this specific model, but rather anything that would help me choose an economical, but reliable colour laser printer. For example Xerox do solid inks as opposed to powder - is this better ?
when printing, cpu usage go up to 50%.? when i do printing on my oki dot matrix ML390 Turbo, the cpu usage go up to 50%,it causes another program lagging(cpu 100%)Do i need to buy a laser printer or upgrade the pc to ensure my program is running smoohtly? my pc spec (customize pc) p4 3.0ghz 512ddr ram XP home
Printer for Brochures & Photos? I'm fed up with our stupid Oki 5400. Random print cycles, never prints exactly what I want it to. Misses pages and stops printing half way through depending on how it feels. It was at the company I work for way before I got here and I don't think it was looked after properly. So I'm trying to convince my boss to get a new printer for me only, as I am in charge of all the marketing and photography. My Needs: -GOOD quality print! -RELIABLE! Would like it to be an all in one with scanner/copier as well but if I am going to get more bang for buck without that then nevermind, BUT if it does scan I am scanning product photos and need them to be of good quality. And in a perfect world it would be cheap(ish) to run. I don't mind whether it is laser or inkjet. What can YOU suggest? Thanks in advance
my oki c6100 printer prints color fine, but not black and white!? I’ve got an okidata c6100 color laser printer. If i were to print a color picture, its comes out great. If i were to print a black and white document, not so great. The letters come out all faded and glitchy, I’m really not sure how to explain it so I’m going to try and include a picture. I’ve unplugged the printer, plugged it back in. I’ve restored the printer to its default settings and still no go. I’ve replaced the black toner and drum and STILL I’m having the same issue. This problem started happening 2 days ago. I’ve been trouble shooting it since then. Prior to two days ago it was printing great! I didn’t do anything special; I printed out a 20 page document and went to bed. Woke up went to work, went to school, came home, printed a report and bam! The problems started. So far ive printed a black and white document in word with the issue. I printed a colored jpeg from my pictures folder and that comes out great. I printed a black and white pdf document with a picture and that comes out all messed up. A colored pic from a pdf comes out fine. Here is a link to a document I printed next to colored picture. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/156/imag0044kj.jpg/ Any help or insight into the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! My setup: OkiData c6100 Color Laser printer connected to a Lenovo a700 Ideacentre with a USB cable & connected to a netgear router as a shared networked printer. I also use my laptop, a lenovo x201t with the same results i mentioned in the post.
