Does anyone know of "green" toner alternatives for the Xerox Docucolor 250 color laser printer? Our office has a Xerox Docucolor 250 color printer/scanner/copier/ and we are looking for toner alternatives in our new initiative to become a green business. Anyone know of any alternatives for this line of printers? Or can you recommend a line of high capacity laser printers with toner alternatives?

What does the transfer roller do on my Xerox 6200 Color Laser Printer? Basically, I'm getting a notification that my transfer roller has reached end of life and I was curious as to what it does, and whether or not it is important for me to replace it right away or if it can wait a while. The prints (both color and b&w) seem to print just fine as it is right now.

Life-span and help re: 2001 Xerox Phaser 6200 color laser printer? I have a 2001 Xerox Phaser 6200 color laser printer. It is leaving magenta streaks and tonor lines all over my paper. The repair company has been here already and told me they needed to take it to their shop for proper repair. The nature of my business is that I need this printer everyday. They told me they could rent me a printer for a few hundred dollars and that the repair would take 4-5 days and cost would be based on labor hours. Is it worth fixing? What is the average life-span for this printer? Any suggestions? Also, the graphic print quality is sub-par and I need it to be good, the streaks make it worse.Any recomendations on a color laser printer that produces excellent picture and image quality? problem printing black ink to xerox printer? I have a docu color 252 xerox printer and just recently it stopped printing black ink from programs such as Microsoft: word, excel, outlook and publisher. Using the glass or document feeder works fine but printing a file that i create on the computer or print from multiple programs don't print the black ink. I know the toner is filled to nearly 100% on all colors plus all drums are fine. This is not a problem specifically with Microsoft office, it is happening with other programs too. Does Xerox make the laser printers for Samsung? I ordered a Samsung color laser CLP-300N online. After 24 hours The dealer sent me an email saying the Samsung was on backorder but they would substitute the Xerox 6110N. They stated that Xerox makes the CLP series printers for Samsung. What is the running costs for a Xerox Phaser printer? I know enough to know that it's never the cost of the printer that one should be concerned with, but rather it's the ongoing cost of supplies for running that printer which will get you. Let's say that I'm going to print post cards 4-up on a sheet. So one side will have pretty heavy ink cover (like photos) and the other side of the page will just have some text printed on it along with the name and address. To get to a "per-page-cost" I believe I'll need to know how many prints I can get from each of the four color "crayons" that the Phaser uses given my typical color printed page described above. Once I have that page yield for the color supplies I will then be able to compute some sort of "cost-per-page" for comparison to other color printing methods available in the marketplace.

I use a xerox phaser 8560 and it re formats my Excel pages to where the print on multiple pages.? I use a Xerox phaser 8560 to print my color Excel documents. If I print them on my HP 4050 they print fine. (1 page = 1 page) Printing on my Xerox requires that I select that printer and manualy format my page so it all fits on one page. If not, 1 page could = 3 pages. Why would selecting a different printer change the page formating?

"Margins Do Not Fit Page Size" error in Excel 2003? Has anybody come across this problem with Excel 2003 and found a suitable solution...? I've got a standard Excel spreadsheet which I want to print to a Xerox colour printer. However, when I attempt to Print Preview the document, I get several errors saying "Margins Do Not Fit Page Size" and Excel then proceeds to split the spreadsheet up so that 1 cell is on each page, thus turning a 1 page document into a ~800 page one!! When sent to print, the printer also tries to print 800 pages. I've tried adjusting the margins, and removing and reinstalling the print drivers but the problem persists. No other printers are installed. I've also tried clearing the Print Area, but for some reason when I adjust this, Excel splits the document up again (1 page per cell)!! The document prints fine from another computer on the network so I think it's an Excel problem. There is an article on Microsoft's website, but it doesn't explain how to fix it. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

(read description)? i've had brother inkjet printers for my whole high school life and they've always been reliable, i've had 3, don't remember what happened to the first one, the second one was fine but then we upgraded to a wireless version .. a few days ago we found out the wireless one stopped working .. not sure why but i have so many assessments to print so i got my old printer back from my cousin who bought a laser printer and recommended getting a laser one. The one he gave us is printing fine but has a vertical ink line on the back of each page .. and its so dark it goes through to the front so i pretty much can't use it any more. i've been looking at some laser printers online .. whats the best brand for laser printers? most of the ones i'm seeing are HP, brother or fuju xerox (which is the one my school uses). Laser printers/solid ink printers for use with card stock? I am in the market for a color laser printer to use in my home-based custom stationery business. I currently use an inkjet printer with good results, but would like a faster machine, the flexibility of printing on coated paper and ink that doesn't smear when wet. I use 100 pound paper most of the time, but also use 24# copy paper and 80#-110# paper for various projects. I need to be able to print the card stock from the auto feeder....not manually feed it! I print approximately 500 sheets/week during my busy times. I would like to spend no more than $500 or so, but will spend more if a machine is worth it. I've also just started hearing about the Xerox Phaser solid ink printers and wondered if I should consider those?

Question on my Xerox Printer? i have a workcentre m24 xerox printer and what I see on my screen color-wise is not what comes out from the printer. i have tried every predefined setting in the print dialog box to no avail. i am printing a PDF file. when i print directly from illustrator or quark, the colors are a bit closer. any help would be appreciated, thanks. 7300 Phaser Xerox Printer frustration? I work for a company where we do lots of printing. For some reason, when I put the paper in there (12X18 in), the left side comes out a different color and sometimes it looks a little grainy. For example, I printed a sheet today and the colors were supposed to be pink. The right side came out pink and the left side came out peach. It looks like there is too much yellow in it. This happens with almost every print we do. Does anyone know what this could be? We tried changing the transfer unit and it still comes out bad. I really need help. The xerox tech guy came and said there was nothing wrong with the printer but he tried selling us another one and said this one is not meant for graphics. What is it meant for then? When we try printing text, it has a ghost image as if the CMYK didn't align correctly. Help!!!!

Excel 2003 can't print in COLOR. ? I’m using Excel 2003. For some odd reason I can’t print in “COLOR”. This the first time it happen. I click “Print Preview” I see that the worksheet is in “Black & White” but on the Excel worksheet does show the Color. I’m using Xerox 7665 and set the default to print color. I was to be able to print excel documents in color. All other programs print in color including Microsoft word, and PowerPoint. Trouble Shooting Steps That I did: 1. I check to see if I had “Win SP3” I don’t have I have “Win SP2” 2. I check also on “Print Preview” setup sheet to make sure that “Black And White” box is not check. 3. Tools, Options, Color from there I click “Reset”. 4. Help, Check For Updates. 5. Help, Detect and Repair. 6. I edit the Registry. I change the Excel folder to old (Old Excel) so when I click Excel again it would reinstall it (so it would think that is the 1st time running it). XEROX 6200DP Question? My XEROX 6200DP on my network is not printing its colors correctly. The colors are all off, in particular the yellow, which seems to have red mixed into it. I also have a XEROX 6250 on the same network, and it seems to be printing just fine. I have tried using every color scheme, resetting the printer, printing from different computers, etc., but nothing seems to be making a difference. Any advice?

choosing an economical colour laserjet? For very low printing volumes, I usually get my clients a Canon Inkjet with separate ink cartridges. Unfortunately, the newer printers don't seem to be very economical anymore and even for light printing, it goes through ink far too quickly. Also the build quality of the Canon Pixma has declined over the last three years to such an extent, that I am unimpressed with Canon at the moment. I am trying to find a colour laserjet printer that would replace the inkjet, so it needs to be 1: cheaper to run 2: not much larger than an inkjet as we are talking about putting it on a table, where you would normally put an inkjet. I am not worried about the upfront costs as long as I can get the running costs down. I have looked around, because I also want to consider manufacturers that I have not considered before like Oki, Xerox. I won't buy HP or Brother as brother are expensive to run and HP - the quality is not what it used to be adn their support is dreadful. I believe Xerox might be a good choice or Ricoh? What is also a consideration is support, which is why I will never Samsung printers again, because Samsung support is horrendous as is HP. Has anyone got any recommendations for laser printers that will effectively replace the ink jets - thus I don't want to buy a printer designed to print for an entire network - its going to have the same printing usage as an inkjet ie low volume! I am not looking for answers saying get this specific model, but rather anything that would help me choose an economical, but reliable colour laser printer. For example Xerox do solid inks as opposed to powder - is this better ?

I'm having problems with my printer colours? Hi can any one offer advice about printer colours please? I own a xerox solid ink printer which I use to make wedding stationery, but I'm having big problems at the moment with colour representation. When I select a colour to print , it looks vibrant and colourful on my lap top screen, but the colour that gets printed doesn't even look vaguely alike. I have followed various standard Xerox tests to check that my printer is ok and there are no problems there, so I can only assume that my monitor isn't displaying true colours. Can any one suggest a solution before i run out of patience, paper and ink!

Toner Cartridge for Xerox Phaser 6120? I have been given a xerox phaser 6120 laser printer. It works fine & I can print black and white but the 3 colour toner cartriges are empty. New cartriges are very expensive (well over £100) so I was wondering if there is a cheaper alternative? Recommend a printer for low volume but good quality print? Hi, can anyone recommned a colour printer, capable of duplex printing, for a small home office. I have low volume printing but the quality would still need to be reasonably good for pictures. The pictures are printed on standard office paper. I currently use a Xerox Phaser 8560 (which uses solid ink) and the quality is fantastic but I'm going to have to get rid of it for financial reasons. I also don't like the fact that it's supposed to be kept on at all times. Turning it off and on is against the manufacturers guidelines. What printer will be best for a home based freelance graphic design business? I have worked with a few different printers/ finishers and I have noticed big difference in color quality. My preference was a Fiery at my internship- loved the color, but it was like a $10,000 dollar unit or something crazy like that & definitely not something I could afford. I used a Xerox Phaser (dont remember the exact model number) and I liked its results before I got to use the Fiery. I would also really like a high quality photo printer. Document Scanner Recommendation Please? At my office we are in need of a heavy duty document scanner that can be auto-fed 50-100 pages at a time (in color). The faster the better. We are looking at a price range of $5K or less. Problem With Printer.,...!!? i have Xerox C* Docu Printer...and the problem is it does not print anything... i mean the problem is with the black ink and therefore it does not print anything black though besides black ink it do prints the documents contaning other colors like blue orange etc ...But It Does not Print the document which requires black ink..Please help me THANK YOU!!

Aren't Inkjets Cheaper Per Page Than Laser? I keep reading how much cheaper laser printers are per page compared to inkjets and was considering getting a color laser in order to do some work that is fairly slow on the inkjets. Much to my surprise though it seems as though laser printers ink costs quite a bit more than my inkjets. I pay $430 for a gallon of each of the 7 colors which really lasts me a very long time considering I don't print with too much coverage usually on my Epson 9600. On the Xerox 6360 I was looking at the toner was $360 but it sounded like it only lasted 10,000 pages at something like 5% coverage. I also bought an HP Officejet K5400 inkjet which is really fast but it has tiny ink cartridges. Am I missing something because after doing my best breakdown of prices the inkjets seem significantly cheaper per page simply because the ink is so much cheaper.
