HP toner cartridge reset tool. Where can I get one? I have a HP 2500 colour laser printer. There are chips on each toner cartridge and one on the drum. It would appear the drum chip can easily be reset but the cartridges are a different matter. While many places will deal with refilling the cartridge none deal with the resetting on the chip. I want the tool which allows the resetting of this chip.

If you return your old toner cartridge to HP after you replace it, will they refill it and send it back? When you buy a new toner cartridge from HP, they send you a postal proof that you can put back on the box it comes in, tape the box back up with your old toner cartridge, and mail it back. Are they just asking you to send it back for recycling reasons, or are they going to fill it back up and send it back to you full? This is the 12 inch cartridge for an HP laserjet 5100.

Does the driver for HP LaserJet 1018 for VISTA provide toner depletion detection? Well the old drive for Windows XP actually tells you when to change the toner and when the toner is close to running out. The new drive (for vista, not XP) does not seem to do the same thing.
