Is an HP Laser Toner Cartridge compatible with an OKI? I have an OKI C5150n Laser Printer and I was wondering if any HP toner cartridge would be compatible? I didn't think it would work but it was worth a try. Thanks!
Is there a reason y blue ink couldn't be used in an old HP laser toner cartridge, so it prints blue not black? I have this Laser Jet 2200D, which is great, but it is black ink. I was thinking if I had a blue ink cartridge, I could pop it in and out as needed for special printing. Can any see anything wrong with my logic and does anyone know if it might mess up my printer? Jim, Thanks for the info, but I must not have explained it very well. The printer only has one color, black, not multi-colors. So no matter what font color I use in the document being printed, it will also be printed in black ink, unless I can insert a different color into the ink cartridge. While if I am able to place blue ink into a cartridge, then print a document, everything in that document would be printed in blue, which is what I want.

HP Laser 2600n - toner specs appear on prints? Tiny toner specs appear all over my paper, I've tried several settings/paper combos. I am on a mac so don't have access to HP Toolbox that is recommended to solve this problem. Maybe need to clean the paper path, but don't know how. Any suggestions? Thank you!

When buying a color laser printer, do I need to buy a set of cartridge toner too ? I was told by a salesman that the cartridges that come with it are the starter set, which do not last long. HP toner cartridge reset tool. Where can I get one? I have a HP 2500 colour laser printer. There are chips on each toner cartridge and one on the drum. It would appear the drum chip can easily be reset but the cartridges are a different matter. While many places will deal with refilling the cartridge none deal with the resetting on the chip. I want the tool which allows the resetting of this chip.

Why does my HP 2605 Laser Printer print dirty pages? Hi, I have a problem with my HP 2605 laser printer and wondered if anyone can help? It's producing dirty pages with a marbled effect across the entire page when printing. I have tried several types of papers and the text and images print fine although the pages appear dirty. HP Laserjet in Economode, will it wore out toner cartridge? On almost all HP laser printers, there is a built in toner saver mode called economode which is supposed to use 50% less toner per printed page. If you only print text and don't care about the more draft-like look, economode will suffice. BUT I read a blurb from an HP manual that recommends not using this setting full-time because it's possible the toner supply will outlast the mechanical parts inside the cartridge. Has anyone experienced any worn mechanical parts and if so, does it make any difference in your opinion of whether to turn on economode or not?
Laser Toner vs Inkjet Carts -- Any difference? I am getting tired of my HP 950c Deskjet printer quickly running out of ink. Someone suggested checking out Laserjet printers. I found BROTHER HL-2030 LASER PRINTER but am still confused how the laser printer can help me save on ink. When i purchase a new inkjet cart i normally print 5 pages within that day then levae the printer untoched for a couple months a print a page or two. Basically the cart isnt used much. Someone suggested laser toner. Can you explain to me how laser toners are better than inkjet carts? Do they last until they are empty or is there the possiblity of drying out or some other part failing? How many months or years can i get out of this Brother Laserjet if it is used as infrequently as i do? Tx The Brother Laser printer will cost $69 CAN and on eBay.ca i see new toners costing $25 CAN. HP Laser Jet 5P Printer problem? I have a very old HP Laser Jet 5P printer here at work. I cannot get an upgrade printer. I recently had to replace the ink toner. When I printed out the page it would print blurry and would double print. I did a print test page. It was blurry and the paper has turned grey and on the back of the paper is grey also. The page also has white lines that run up and down the page. So my question is how do I fix this printer issue? I must have the printer to perform my job. There is nobody at my office except for me. Hp laser jet 2420 " paper gets stuck if 5-6 pgs given to print continuously...? i hv a hp laser jet 2420 printer.. wen i give a single pg to print it works fine but wen i give 5-6 pgs continuously then it prints first 2-3 pgs and then the next pg gets stuck inside the cartrigde(toner).. HP laser printer leaving black lines and extra print on pages. What can I do? This HP laser printer worked fine until I put in the new toner cartridge. Now it leaves black lines and it even reprints some of the text in a different spot on the paper. For instance, I printed something with a letterhead. About half way down the page you can see the letterhead in the background. I have some paper path cleaning sheets that I have used several times but it doesn't seem to help. When I pull out the toner cartridge and look at the roller it looks clean. I even wiped over it with a paper towel and didn't get any black on the paper towel. Is it just a bad toner cartridge or is there something I can do to get it to print clearer?

Why has my color laser printer started making a horizontal bars of heavier toner concentration across the page It's a HP 1500L, and I've had it for years. Both the printer drum and toner cartridges were replaced a (low volume) month ago, and should not be even close to empty. HP Laser Jet1200 Print quality issue - dots on paper? This printer is my workhorse printer and has been very reliabe. Just put in a new toner cartridge and now there is a row of dots evenly spaced out across my printed page. How do I elimate this? or do I try to Clean the printer? What would cause this? good paper for HP Laser Jet P2015? would like a bright white paper suitable for legal documents but the toner seems to come off the linen paper we are using when the paper gets folded. maybe the weight or texture of the paper is preventing the toner from "sticking"

Do you think Brother laser printers make fewer carcinogenic emissions than those tested in a recent study? A recent Australian study showed that some HP laserjet printers, though not all models, emit high levels of carcinogenic particles, worse than cigarettes - and also Toshiba and other makes. I suppose Brother laser printers have a different toner technology because they have replaceable drums as well as cartridges, so perhaps they are safer to be around than those that tested high. Is there any contributor with technical knowledge to comment on that? (Particularly Brother HL-1450, because I'm sitting right next to one!) Other printers in the test included Canon and Ricoh. HPLaserjet 4050 series were mentioned as having no such emissions, although the 4250 do.

Does low toner ever cause a printer to warm up slowly/print slow? I have a user who is complaining his hp laser printer takes 30 seconds to warm up when he goes to print anything, no matter if he has just printed something or not, as well as each page taking about 25 seconds to print. He says it's never been this slow. I checked the IP, and it says the toner is low, but that's it. Any printer techs know what would cause a laser printer to keep warming up/print slowly? Thanks! By the way, he is not printing high DPI, our print settings here are very, very basic and the users can't modify them. The printer just started doing this...he's had it a year. You think power supply maybe? It's an LJ 4200. I know the "morning" warm up takes 30 seconds to a minute, but usually when you print after that, it goes pretty quick.

What is the big black sheet of film in a Laser printer called? I have a HP LaserJet CM1050 and my printer was making unwanted smudges, so I opened the door to see what was going on and the black film thing is torn. The black film thing can be manually rolled by hand. It is opposing the toners when I close the printer door. It's not the toner. It's a big black sheet that has nothing to do with the toners. What's the best bargain laser printer? I'm looking to buy a laser printer for my university studies (printing notes and reports and whatnot) and have run out of ink on my HP 1200 series all in one. Rather than drop 80$ CAD on new cartridges, I decided to make the switch to laser. Poor Print Quality HP 1012? I have a HP 1012 Laser Printer. I've only had it short time (bought used off eBay). The print quality has gotten really poor. Streaky, blotchy, etc. I also have major problems with printing envelopes. It's like it's not fusing the toner to the envelope, the toner flakes off. Plus the streaks and lines, etc. The Quality is so poor that I am embarassed to send things out printed with this printer. I just replaced the toner so I don't think that's the problem. Is there something wrong with the drum? The fuser (since it's not fusing the toner to envelopes, but the paper is fine except for streaks and lines). I only bought this printer a month ago and it worked fine at first but it's gradually gotten worse (especially after I put in the new toner cartridge). The new toner cartridge came with the printer and it brand new in the HP box. It looks like a HP brand toner.

Laser Printer information?? i've been given a second hand laser printer (HP 4050n), and it works brilliantly, but i do have some questions. Why does it have a serial port at the back that it asthough you can add a screen to it.... plus, i've been given a toner for it. How efficient is this? Life expectancy of a laser printer? I have a HP LaserJet 6p, which has printed 22,000 pages according to the counter. Does anyone know how much more use I can expect to get out of it? What is the first component likely to fail (other than toner cartridges of course), when, and is it worth replacing or should I at that point get a new printer?
Color Laser Printer Cartridges? I am looking at buying a HP Color LaserJet 1600HP printer. However I noticed that when my printer cartridges go assuming an even use between the four cartridges. It would be cheaper just to go buy a new laser printer, then buying 4 seperate toner cartridges. I know the laser printer keeps track of the pages and then stops you from printing if it has run out. How can I justify buying something that I might as well buy a new one when the cartridges go.
I think Ive got a fault with my printer, can some1 plz help!!!? Its a hp Colour Laser Jet 2600n. now the problem is that when it has printed i can see big smudges within the text (mainly), plus its also a kinda new toner. i need a very gopod explanation and fast. the best answer will be the one who gives the correct answer and/or fastest, i will give you 5 STARS! i need the answer today in about 2 hour if possible. plz help p.s the toner is inserted correctly but thankyou!

Laser vs. Inkjet Copier? I've been on the hunt for an all-in-one to replace my office's current HP (slow as hell, error-ific) 7210. I have done just about as much research as I can stand at this point and have narrowed it down to a 639 dollar Lexmark x502n and a 250 dollar Cannon PIXMA MP830. Besides the obvious difference being the hundreds of dollars more for the Lexmark, one is also a laser, and the other an inkjet. I've been thinking I need a laser because speed copying is what we are most interested in, though I'm not as familiar with lasers and worry about the initial cost combined with the cost of toner cartridges. The main uses of this machine will be for copying and faxing. It most likely won't be connected to any pc and will not likely be printing photos. We copy pictures out of books and copy documents. Laser or Inkjet? Which will benefit me longterm.
