Should I buy an OE HP toner cartridge or compatible one? I am seeing online "compatible" toner cartridges for my HP 5P laser printer for as low as $19 at Ink Jet Superstore, which is a very attractive price, but are these compatible cartridges reliable? On New Egg, the OE cartridge is about $100. Should I buy an OE HP toner cartridge or compatible one?
HP toner cartridge reset tool. Where can I get one? I have a HP 2500 colour laser printer. There are chips on each toner cartridge and one on the drum. It would appear the drum chip can easily be reset but the cartridges are a different matter. While many places will deal with refilling the cartridge none deal with the resetting on the chip. I want the tool which allows the resetting of this chip.
Original HP Genuine toner cartridges? How can i understand difference between genuine original and replica or counterfeits toner cartridges? i'm asking about below cartridges; 12A 35A 36A 21/22 and FX 10 from canon company i want to know difference between originals and replicas, thanks!!!
Is there a reason y blue ink couldn't be used in an old HP laser toner cartridge, so it prints blue not black? I have this Laser Jet 2200D, which is great, but it is black ink. I was thinking if I had a blue ink cartridge, I could pop it in and out as needed for special printing. Can any see anything wrong with my logic and does anyone know if it might mess up my printer? Jim, Thanks for the info, but I must not have explained it very well. The printer only has one color, black, not multi-colors. So no matter what font color I use in the document being printed, it will also be printed in black ink, unless I can insert a different color into the ink cartridge. While if I am able to place blue ink into a cartridge, then print a document, everything in that document would be printed in blue, which is what I want.
HP printer not recognising HP toner supplies as 'authentic'? I have an HP LaserJet 2600n and when I insert toner cartridges it tells me "non-HP supplies installed" or words to that effect. Yet I have never bought anything other than HP toner, and from reputable stores, too - so they're not refilled cartridges or anything like that. Anyone got any suggestions before I call HP and condemn myself to several hours in tech support purgatory? I have tried Googling and I have tried the HP support pages, too. No dice.
CAN YOU USE BLACK HP TONER IN A BROTHER PRINTER? Okay, my neighbor gave me a bunch of old HP printer cartridges. They are for a now obsolete printer. I was going to disassemble them and recycle the toner for use in my Brother black and white printer. Both cartridges(my brother and the hp's) are laser printers and the toner looks the same. Has anyone done this before and will I f*** up my Brother printer by doing this? Thanks
HP Laserjet Toner? I am hearing that HP dates their cartridges, which means that even if it still has ink in it, when it hits the expiration date on the cartridge, the printer won't print. Is this true, and if so, is it true for all of their ink, ie. laserjet toner cartridges, inkjet cartridges, etc. Thanks much.
I have some toner and printer cartridges that expired 5 years ago and I was wondering if they would still work? They have never been out of the box which means the plastic should still be covering the cartridges. I would think the ink would be fine since the ink has not absorbed any moisture from the air. If it matters here is the exact product I have- http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=hp+8500+toner+cartridges&hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=8541320163239251240&sa=X&ei=z5hTTobhJunw0gHe75DqBQ&ved=0CL0BEPMCMAc I have around 10 boxes of this and I was going to sell it on eBay.
HP ink/toner cartridge X or A? I have to order supplies for my company's printers (all HP) and i've noticed that they always have the same ink/toner such as 13A or 13X, is the only difference the amount of pages it yields? The X seems to give out more paper for a few dollars more? Is this the only difference?
I wish to use Remanufactured laser toner cartridges instead of expensive OEM Toners. How should I choose? HP dealers say we loose warranty ? Also Print quality is poor. and it damages printers ? Is it really a saving of 25 to 50% ? How to select a good brand ? And which are the 3 best brands one can rely on? How is remanufacturing different from the even more cheaper refilling? Is it good enough quality for colour printers also ? Can we buy good remanufactured laser toner cartridges in stores in India ? Is it legal business really or can HP sue me ?? anything to keep in mind while buying one ? Are Chinese compatible cartridges not remanufactured laser toner ? what is difference ?? Is this legal ?? Can we use Remanufactured it in my government office for official purchase against tender considering it is so much cheaper ?
How do I use few cartridges in HP 4700? I have this powerful printer HP 4700 which uses four cartridges at a time. Problem is once one toner gets used up, say Magenta, the other three cartridges can't be used until the finished one is replaced. How can I configure it so that in case one is used up, the other three can still continue to print like say black and what? The cartridges are damn expensive. Thanks
What are the #pages/cartridge of the Samsung ML2240 and HP P1505? I've got money to burn and I want to get a laser printer to stop from bleeding so much money on inkjet ink. There are two stores with two different printers on sale right now. I'm going to use it for printing out my manuscript (25-26 lines of 12p New Courier type per page) and I want to know how many pages each printer prints out per toner cartridge. Samsung ML2240 HP P1505 Then I can figure out price of cartridge in $ per page.
HP cartridge help? what is the weight of one piece (one box) of HP Q5942A toner cartridge?
Extend HP Color LaserJet 2600n toner cartridge usage beyond "empty"? My printer was printing out black text just fine, suddenly flashed a message I needed to replace the black toner cartridge and stopped working. My old LaserJet 2 would let me take the cartridge out, rock it back and forth to fill the toner holes and I would get more mileage out of it, even letting me print pages with obvious light streaks in it even with the "replace cartridge" message flashing. This new printer gave no warning and even taking the cartridge out and shaking/rocking it did not let me get any more pages out of it. Does anyone know how to "fool" this printer so I can at least limp along until I buy a new cartridge? I know some printers you can cover a sensor or hole with tape to fool it...
Why is my laser printer printing blurry on the sides? I have an HP laserjet 1020 black and white printer that I have had for about a year. Just recently when it prints, both side margins are printing heavy and blurry. I thought the toner may be running low, but a new hp toner cartridge did not help. Any ideas?
HP Laserjet in Economode, will it wore out toner cartridge? On almost all HP laser printers, there is a built in toner saver mode called economode which is supposed to use 50% less toner per printed page. If you only print text and don't care about the more draft-like look, economode will suffice. BUT I read a blurb from an HP manual that recommends not using this setting full-time because it's possible the toner supply will outlast the mechanical parts inside the cartridge. Has anyone experienced any worn mechanical parts and if so, does it make any difference in your opinion of whether to turn on economode or not?
Which toner should I use for a laser printer cartridge? I want to add toner (the black ink powder) to the cartridge of my laser printer. Does it matter which toner I use, or does each brand has its own type of toners (with unique specs)? For example, if I take the toner out from an HP printer cartridge and place it in a Brother cartridge, will it work? Are toners universal?
Question about refilling toner- HP Laserjet P1006? Hello. I was wanted to buy a toner refill kit for my printer. I was wondering if the reset chip that some kits include are Absolutely Necessary for the printer to function like new. The reset chip costs an extra 12 bucks, so I don't really want to have to buy it, but if I have to, i guess I should. I was also wondering if there is a limit to the number of times you can refill a toner cartridge. Thanks! Can you be more specific please? So i don't need that chip, but how many times can I refill a cartridge?
Is there a safe way to clean the roller on a toner cartridge? I have an HP laserjet at work, we use a special toner cartridge to print checks. The checks are coming out with lines down the page. When I pull back the cover of the toner cartridge, I can see toner stuck to the green roller inside. Is there a safe way to clean this roller, or should I just order another?
Throw away refilled toner cartridges? How do I properly dispose of these things? can I just throw them in the garbage? Is there a proper way to seal them if i do? Also I have a large amount of loose toner that I have just been dumping into a cardboard box with every cartridge I've refilled. What do I do with this stuff? Please do not answer with comments like go to staples! I cannot give these cartridges to staples, office depot, schools, etc as they have already been refilled by me repeatedly to the point they are no longer usable. Staples already said no. HP also says no they wont take them because they have already had a refill job on them. Thanks.
Is the 2612A toner cartridge the same as Q2612A? This is for a HP 3055 printer. I ordered cheap cartridges on line (web page said Q2612A, as it should) but what I got was 2612A and the cartridge box doesn't include my printer among the list of supported printers. Did I get ripped off or will these work? The brand is PhotoC.
toner cartridge refilling? i have got a new black laser printer of hp 3020.. toner is over... can i refill at home with least cost...
Color Laser Printer Cartridges? I am looking at buying a HP Color LaserJet 1600HP printer. However I noticed that when my printer cartridges go assuming an even use between the four cartridges. It would be cheaper just to go buy a new laser printer, then buying 4 seperate toner cartridges. I know the laser printer keeps track of the pages and then stops you from printing if it has run out. How can I justify buying something that I might as well buy a new one when the cartridges go.
Looking for the best possible Color Laser Printer? I need to find the best possible laser color printer at the lowest possible price. I need to prints lots of documents black and white, flyers with a few photos on them, color posters and etc. So I would like to have both of best worlds and have some great photo quality and print the most pages per toner cartridges. I recently made a mistake and bought a HP photosmart 8250 and have gone through about almost $300 in ink, if not more (in only about 2 months). But when I think I found a good color laser printer I find horror stories from user reviews. Can anyone help me basically find a good all around color laser printer that has full ink toner and not so expensive (like over $100 per toner)? As I don't need network capability and if it has a duplexer is a bonus. Thanks for any suggestions!
explain me the functioning of the printers, cartridge toner? I want details of how frequently the cartridge has to be refilled and all issues regarding printer i can get , more information more utility to me ,please also give details of comparing specification of Lexmark,Hp, Canon printers in all inkjet and laser
HP Laserjet 1010 problem? I have an HP lasrejet 1010 that I bought 4 years ago. It's been fine until today when I'm gettkng a black band down one side of may pages when printing. I've opened it up and there appears to be a build up of toner inside. Even after vacuuming that out, it still prints the black band. Do I just need a new toner cartridge or is the thing now beyond repair?
Laserjet Toner? I am thinking about buying an HP laserjet printer in the near future. I've only owned inkjet printers before this, and I'm tired of having to replace the inkjet cartridges because they dry up before I can finish using them. Also, they're not cheap, as you well know. We don't use our home printer everyday. Sometimes we don't even turn it on more than once a month. What I was wondering is - does laserjet printer toner become unusable if not used for a long time, like the inkjet ink does, or does it last for a couple of years. I'm thinking that laserjet toner is in powder form already, so it can't dry out since it's already dry? Am I wrong. To replace the toner cartridge would be around $70, which isn't cheap either, but I'm hoping it lasts longer than the inkjet cartridges do. Thanks for any info you can give me.
Laserjet printer - darker on one side of the page. How do I fix it? I have an HP laser jet printer. I had the same toner cartridge in there for about 3 years and recently had to replace it. The new cartridge was working fine until today when it started printing one side of each page darker and slightly blurred. How can I fix this problem? Is it a faulty toner cartridge?
HP laser printer leaving black lines and extra print on pages. What can I do? This HP laser printer worked fine until I put in the new toner cartridge. Now it leaves black lines and it even reprints some of the text in a different spot on the paper. For instance, I printed something with a letterhead. About half way down the page you can see the letterhead in the background. I have some paper path cleaning sheets that I have used several times but it doesn't seem to help. When I pull out the toner cartridge and look at the roller it looks clean. I even wiped over it with a paper towel and didn't get any black on the paper towel. Is it just a bad toner cartridge or is there something I can do to get it to print clearer?
