Are HP photo printers a good choice for using on macs? I know HP is popular and good maybe but aren't there any anti-HP people out there? The hewlettpackard printers are compatible with mac, but does HP really work good on macs? I'm looking to buy a photo printer, I would like any reccommendations.

Printers: Keep My Old HP Laserjet5L or Get New Cheapo Dell 926 Photo Printer? I'm buying a new Dell computer and the guy said my old HP Laserjet5L printer won't work because the cable doesn't have a usb connector. He said I could either buy a cable adaptor for $30 to continue using my 10 year old printer, or else spend $60 on a brand new compatible Dell 926 Photo Printer. It sounds like a no-brainer....i.e. buy the new printer, right? But my concern is that my old HP laser printer is (was) a very good printer, whereas I think this new Dell printer is the bottom of the line. But maybe printers are like computers in that even a lousy new one is 10 times better than a great one from 10 years ago??? Is that true? I've never even printed in color before, but I suppose it would be nice to print photos. Usually I just print documents and I've been very happy with the quality of my 10 year old laser printer. I guess the bottom line with me is that if the new one can print documents as nicely as the old one, then I might as well get the new printer. Right??

Why will HP photo printer not print pics off of certain devices? I have an HP photo printer (the little portable ones) and the instruction booklet says you can print pics off of an iPod that stores photos. I have a vid. iPod that has pics on it, and is fully charged and should plug right into the printer. But when I plug it in, it goes to the "do not disconnect" screen and flashes. I just bought a hp photo printer and want to know what is the ideal pixel should have to print clear on 8.5x11 I want to print like a mike tyson picture off the internet but I don't want it to be a small size and then stretch it out to fit on a 8.5x11 paper. I want to get a picture thats as big or bigger than 8.5x11 so when I print it out it doesn't come out blurry. If the file size is to small and you stretch it obviously it will not come out to good.. so what is a good pixel I should look for when searching for images? (i.e 643 x 394, 200 x 300)

HP Printer photo print quality went down after 40 prints. HELP!!!? I have an HP C4180 All in One Printer. The first 40 pictures were great, after that they got all pink, streaky and blurry. I performed the "clean cartridges", "prime", "align" programs that the printer has but it didn't help. The cartridges are 50% full. Are these printers only good when the cartridges are 100% full? I printed regular documents and they came out fine. Anyone else had the same problem with other HP printers???

I am having troubles with my HP Photosmart 7260 photo printer, can anyone help? I have had this printer installed on this computer for one year. I need help to install the software update (for Vista) for my HP Photo-smart C3180 Photosmart printer? Having looked at the HP website pages related to HP Printers, I have downloaded the new Vista compatible software. My C3180 Photosmart All-in-One has been rather stubborn and unpredictable using the old XP driver software. According to the HP website I can only install the new Vista driver after I uninstall the old XP driver software that came with my printer. Problem is I can't see how to 'uninstall program' within my Vista system that doesn't even show any HP Printer related icons or link to my old printer driver. Can someone confirm that I actually do have to uninstall the old XP printer before installing the new 162mb Vista driver? Does anyone actually know if the new Vista driver really work much better than the old XP driver software?
