I have an HP Laser jet printer 1020. I am trying to add this printer to my computer.? I can not find it on the drop-down list of printers. What other hp printer is compatible with this 1020 printer so I can add it. I do not have the disk.

Can't install my HP Laser Jet Printer driver/won't install? My HP Laser Jet M1522nf Printer won't install on my computer (Windows 7). When I plugged in the USB cable, it came up empty and asked me to search for available drivers. When I searched them up, none came up. So I decided to google it and download it manually, but it's like a big vicious circle. When I downloaded it, it asked me if I could unzip the file, which I did. When it installed, it asked me to add a printer it would install the driver to. The top option was to; "Add a local printer. Use this option only if you don't have a USB. (USB cable printers install automatically.)" The second option was; "Add a network, wireless, or bluetooth printer. Make sure that your printer is connected to the network, or that the bluetooth or wireless is turned on." I'm very, very confused. If my printer would have installed the driver in the first place, why didn't it, and what do I do? I know this is confusing, but I hope that you guys can help me. Thanks in advance.

HP laser jet printer enlarges font when printing envelopes? have a hp laser jet 4200 i need to print envelopes in ms word when i do that the font becomes enlarged if i set it to a 10 in word it looks like a 16 comming out. i use a manual feed tray to print envelopes. now if i print them without using the evelope tool in MS word the size is fine. but this wont work because the text dosent rotate. this is a network printer and this happens to every pc i try from. im pretty sure its a stupid setting that needs to be changed on the printer but dont know which one. i did set the tray that i use to print these things to envelope but that didnt work and also reinstalled the printer driver still nothing. anyone have any ideas? this is from word 2003.

I can't find the software for my HP laser Jet 4 on my operating system Windows XP 2002? I am running a windows Xp version 2002. The problem started when I tried to iupgrade to service pack 2. The installation could not complete after many trial. Had to reintall my former version. After installation, i could not install HP laser Jet 4 on the add printer wizard. When I tried, I saw "Unable to find any driver for this device. Consult your printer documentation for compatable software" I bought the printer many years ago. I can't seem to find the documentation any longer. I have tried HP website but could not find the software for my specific printer Laser jet. How do I make this printer work with my system? My sysem is Pentium 111, 800MHZ , 240 Mb of Ram.
hp laser jet printer? hrlp me someone have a hp lazer jet printer and have a few problems with it, firstly whenever i print anbything out sheets of blank paper are allways spewed out after the initial print job! does anybody know how to rectify this? secondly have the same printer connected to 1 computer and am using it as the default printer over my wireless network, when printing a normal job on say a4 paper it prints fine but if i am using another computer on the network and want to print an envolope then the printer works fine but only after i fave selected ok from a panal that appears on the screen of the computer that the printer is connected to!!! does anybody know how to rectify either of these problems please??

HP Laser Jet 5P Printer problem? I have a very old HP Laser Jet 5P printer here at work. I cannot get an upgrade printer. I recently had to replace the ink toner. When I printed out the page it would print blurry and would double print. I did a print test page. It was blurry and the paper has turned grey and on the back of the paper is grey also. The page also has white lines that run up and down the page. So my question is how do I fix this printer issue? I must have the printer to perform my job. There is nobody at my office except for me. If I go to add a printer, the tutorial ask me to name a computer I'd like to add. I don't know how to answer question. Printer does work from the host/primary computer. My HP Laser Jet 2300 Printer is "Whistling" when it prints...quite annoying? Anyone know what causes an HP 2300 Laster Jet printer to "whistle" (high pitch monotone) when it prints? Please assit me with my HP laser jet 2430DTN Printer.? I have an HP laser jet 2430DTN Printer. Couple of days ago i downloaded the latest firmware for it to update its firmware. During the firmware update (remember i used web server for updating since it's on network) I got a message on printer display saying "RFU missing, download now" i downloaded the file to the printer through LPT1 since it was not accessible through web and it worked but after downloading the file it was displayed on the printer "Cycling Power". I waited for the message to disappear but it didn't after a long time. I turned the printer off and turned it on again. Now there is nothing on the display and all the 3 lights are ON. none of the buttons work. can't even reset. Please help me it's so serious. Thanks
HP Laser jet P1006 Bios Sheet? Ok so I want to know how many pages i've printed on my new P1006 laser jet printer.. At work I have an HP Laser jet 1505 and to print out the bios sheet (which tells all the info like how many pages printed, number of jammed papers, etc) I click the green button on it. This P1006 doesn't have a green button, it just has a red button and a power button... How do I print it, or view it? Thanks! I have a Mac. not a PC.. Can I still do this?? My HP Laser Jet 1300 printer prints pages in black. How can I correct this problem? My computer runs Vista and is connected to my printer via a printer port. A second computer running Windows XP is connected to the same printer port. I can print Word documents with no problem. E-mail messages and browser pages print all black. I do not have any of these problems when printing from the second computer using Windows XP. I did not have these problems when both computers connected to the printer through a LAN. Before I installed the print server I downloaded the HP drivers for my printer model for use with Vista. The second computer running XP, which does not have any printing problems, uses a different HP driver that is for use with XP. My first thought was that the problem was caused by the print server, but I don't think that could be the case because the XP computer does not have any printing problems. I would appreciate any help someone can give me. Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

HP Laser jet 4 Plus printer? I have a HP Laser jet 4 Plus printer and when I turn it on it constantly beeps very loudly. Nothing shows up on the digital screen saying something is wrong either. This printer is fairly new (1yr) and was working perfectly before it was unhooked from one computer and hooked up to another. Hp 1018 laser jet printer and Vista ?? hi, i bought hp 1018 i could install it with xp, win 98 and can't do so with Vista !! what the hell ?! Please if you have had the same problem tell me how to fix it and how did you manage to install hp 1018 with Vista 32bit ?? 33 minutes ago - 3 days left to answer. Additional Details I've downloaded from HP website drivers but it's not good, i've installed those drivers I reboot, connect usb cables and switch on printer. it starts to search for drivers then it says i should find it mysels i do so and i chose drivers I just installed. any way it says again that windiws encountered problems while trying to install drivers for the printer. And that one of the installers can;t do the job or sth like that. Anyway you get the opicture what i'm talking about. And it suggests afgain to visit the website of the manufacturer. how can i remove drivers I've installed? they are not present in add/remove software not working :(

Im trying to instal this hp color laser jet 3600 printer on to my computer, the only problem is when i get about half way through the instalation a message comes up telling me that it needs me to put in a HP cd with a "hppaufd0.sys" file located on it. but i searched the cd for that file and it doesn't exist. if someone knows where i can get a free driver for this that would be good, because the cd that came with the printer doesn't seem to have it. thanks.
