what's the difference between software and drivers for hp printers? I lost the cd for my hp photosmart c7250 and so im looking for the driver online. there are two different types of downloads, drivers and software. The drivers require mac osx 10.6 and the software is for mac 10.5, I have a 10.5.8 so i cannot use the drivers and i was wondering what the difference between the two were. oh and when you click on software its full title is full feature software and drivers.

Where can I find drivers for HP Printers so they will run in Vista.? I have an HP Photosmart P1100 and a Photosmart P8450. Both printers work well with my computers that are set up with Windows XP. I bought a new laptop with Vista, and I installed Vista on one of my desktops. Neither printer will run in Vista. The HP update site does not seem to support these printers in Vista. I can't find all HP drivers in Mac OS X Leopard for a printer attached via a networked Windows machine? Help? The printer is an HP Color Laserjet 3600n. I know the driver, as well as most every printer driver out there, is included in Leopard. However, when I try to connect to it as a networked printer attached to a Windows machine it requires me to choose the correct driver and does not automatically work like it does via hard USB connection. Only an abbreviated list shows up which does not include any drivers that look like they are appropriate. I've already downloaded and installed the Mac drivers for the printer and it doesn't change the list that I have to choose from. This is one of a handful of networked printers attached to Windows machines that I'm having trouble connecting to. Any help is appreciated. I'm a new Mac user and I'm hoping I'm missing something simple here. Thanks!

Why do I get a blue screen after I install my HP printer drivers? Hey everyone Today I formatted and reinstalled Windows XP because my pc was dead. First I installed the motherboards drivers and restarted. Then I installed the HP all-in-one 2.0 printer drivers. I install the printer drivers directly after my motherboard because in the past when I installed Service Pack 3 first I got a blue screen. OK so when I restarted after I installed the printer drivers, just after the Windows load screen I got a blue screen. What to do now? After the blue screen it just restarts and then I select the "most recent settings that worked" option and Windows starts up fine again but then the drivers are deleted. I already tried reinstalling them like five times but it still doesn't work. How can I fix this?

Bloody HP printer drivers...? I have to download a driver for my client's hp lj m2727, Fine, no problem, should be s snap! Upon reaching the driver files choice on their site I'm presented with a EMEA 1-4 and AP. I figured that AP is asia pacific, and the other one is europe, middle east and africa. I'm in africa. No one seems to know which one of the four is for africa (supposedly it's the same thing but in different languages). HP does not gie any explantions, our internet down here is too damn slow for me to download over a gig's worth of drivers just to find out which one works. Anyone got any idea which driver is the correct one for africa, in english?

HP 2110V drivers. Driving me crazy. do Printers have their own ID ? I try so hard to have a less complex life. So when my wife bought a HP2110v copy/printer/scanner for her office, I bought one for my office and one for home. In addition,,,I bought 3 Dell Latitude D510 's for my daughters and myself. My problem is, the home printer quit working so I donated my office 2110v that worked perfectly and it wont print at home for them. My question is ..Does HP have some kind of ID number that stops some computers from working the same model ? I am thinking a 2110v driver CD is not the same as another 2110v Driver CD or the drivers available fron HP online. I know how to plug in a printer. It is a printer software problem. I have two disks for this particular printer. Part of my question is does each machine have its own CD. even if it is the same model.

How can I stop getting a printer driver error when installing an HP C5280 printer? I installed the printer driver exactly as instructed, received an error message and installation proceeded. I attempted to print but only was able to print "gobbledygook" (it looked like commands.) I uninstalled all the software, then attempted to reinstall with the same results. HP Printers trouble after install Indesign CS2? On Mac OSX 10.3.9 (G4) since installing Creative Suite 2, both HP Photosmart 7760 and HP Deskjet 5550 will only print one page at a time in Indesign. All other CS2 programs print fine. Most frustrating! I've already run FontDoctor to check for corrupt fonts. I've downloaded and installed the latest printer drivers, but still no joy. I've been researching for days, but no advice I've found so far has helped. Sure hope someone else has encountered this problem and successly resolved it.

After downloading the driver I open it and a progress bar starts and says extracting, it finishes and after that nothing happens at all. Nothing opens up, nothing happens period. My HP Officejet Pro L7580 has somehow taken over the other printers plugged into my computer. What do I do? I have an HP Laser printer that I like plugged into my desktop and ever since I installed the L7580, it actually turns my laser printer off or causes it to say it's missing paper. Does anyone know a temporary fix to get an HP printer that doesn't have Vista drivers yet to print from vista? The printer is an HP P2015 laser printer. I have the install disk that came with the printer, but it won't autorun. When i run the setup.exe file from the disk, the install starts, but stops halfway through with a security message saying that I can only run this program when logged in as an administrator (which I am). HP's website says that vista drivers for this printer are coming soon, but I need a temporary fix until they do. Even partial functionality (just basic printing) would be enough.

Mac HP Printer Driver Issue - Help!? Hi everyone, I'm trying to install a hp psc 2110 all-in-one printer/scanner/fax on my friend's Mac desktop running OS X9. When I attempt to install the driver I downloaded from HP's website an error message comes up saying "The application "7.3.1_2100_WEN" could not be opened because "CarbonLib" could not be found. This error message comes up as soon as I attempt to open the driver install file. Could someone point me to the right update to install? P.S. I tried to update to OS9.1 but also had an issue :( so if I don't have to update to 9.1 that would be great as well. I am not a Mac Expert but I figured hopefully someone here is! Thanks in advance!

How do I isolate drivers from the software CD for my HP 3600 Deskjet printer, & save them in the correct file? The printer is malfunctioning and will not print in color (only black). I possibly have a corrupted driver (?). I want to try and isolate the correct drivers from my software CD and re-save them into the proper spot on my hard drive so my printer can access them. I want to try to avoid uninstalling and reinstalling my printer - I've done this twice already and it is very touchy because we have an older computer. Because of touchy installation, I cannot locate any HP files on my hard drive (although I know they're there - otherwise the printer wouldn't work at all). OK, I tried to uninstall and reinstall (which I knew would be a pain because it always is). The installation CD does not work properly with our computer. It says our CPU is not compatible with the printer, and then it does not allow installation. The only way I can install is to plug in the USB cord, and then Windows recognizes the new hardware and runs the installation. I still get the notice about the CPU and printer not being compatible, but this way the notice comes at the end of installation, not at the beginning, so I at least get the printer installed (albeit incorrectly). Color cartridge still is not working. Does anyone have any further ideas?
